May 16, 2017 - Request for Proposal - Snow Plow Equipment and Road Gravel
The Lincoln County Highway Department will accept sealed bids for the following at the Interim Highway Commissioner’s office, 100 Cooper Street, Merrill, WI 54452, until
2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at which time they will be publicly opened and read and placed on file for action by the Lincoln County Highway Committee.

Apr. 5, 2017 - Lincoln County Officials Remind Drivers to Stay Safe This Construction Season
Lincoln County Highway Committee urges people to drive carefully in highway work zones throughout the 2017 construction season.

Road workers are just like anyone else. They want to do a good job and make it home to their families at night. We ask that everyone take extra time and stay alert on the roads.
Apr. 12, 2017 - Weight Limits on Lincoln County Highways will be suspended on April 19th except for the gravel portion of Highway E

Seasonal road limits for Lincoln County Highways will be suspended at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19th except for the gravel portion of County Road E which will remain posted until further notice.
Feb. 20, 2017 - WisDOT announces weight limits for North Central Region state highways
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced the seasonal posting of weight limits on state highways in the north central region of the state.
Weight restrictions will be effective at noon on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
Sep. 26, 2016 - Cell Phone Ban in Work Zones
WISCONSIN — A new Wisconsin law takes effect Saturday, October 1st making it illegal to talk on a hand-held mobile device while driving through a work zone. The law is part of Wisconsin’s continued efforts to reduce distracted driving and enhance highway safety.

July 7, 2016 - Marcus Wydeven Work Zone Safety Awareness Day

A longtime Lincoln County Highway Department employee was killed in a tragic accident one year ago this Thursday, July 14, while working on a road construction project on Hwy. 17.

In memoriam to Marcus, July 14 will be recognized with a special designation from the Lincoln County Highway Department as Marcus Wydevan Work Zone Safety Awareness Day.
