FEBRUARY 20, 2024 SPRING PRIMARY RESULTS
The County Clerk's Office is tasked with insuring that all in-county municipal clerks have the resources available to efficiently manage their polling locations. The County Clerk then canvasses each election and delivers their official results to the Wisconsin Elections Commission. Questions or concerns regarding Lincoln County Elections should be directed to the Clerk's office.
2024 Election Schedule
- Spring Primary (If needed): February 20, 2024
- Spring Election: April 2, 2024
- Partisan Primary: August 13, 2024
- General Election: November 5, 2024
Offices to be Elected in the Fall 2024:
- Federal Offices: United States Senator - incumbent (Tammy Baldwin), and Representative in Congress District 7 (Tom Tiffany)
- State offices: State Senator District 12, (Mary Felzkowski), and Representative to the Assembly District 35 (Calvin Callahan)
- County offices: County Clerk (Chris Marlowe), District Attorney (Kristopher Elllis), Register of Deeds (Sarah Koss), and Treasurer (Robbin Gigl)
IMPORTANT AUGUST 13, PRIMARY ELECTION DATES:
JUNE 3, 2024 Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for candidates to file nomination papers, declarations of candidacy, and campaign registration statements for the General Election with the filing officer
JUNE 3, 2024 Last day for electors to begin to acquire residency for the Spring Election. Electors moving after this date may vote from their prior address.
JUNE 27, 2024 Municipal clerks begin sending absentee ballots to electors with valid requests on file for the Spring Election.
JULY 16, 2024 Last day for electors to begin to acquire residence for the Partisan Primary. Electors moving after this date may vote from their prior address.
JULY 24, 2024 Deadline for voters to use mail or internet submissions to register for participation in the Partisan Primary. After this date, electors must register in person in the municipal clerk's office or at the polling place.
JULY 25, 2024 First day for clerks to issue certificate of registrations (EL-133) to late registrants who register to vote in person.
JULY 30, 2024 Clerks may begin to issue in person absentee ballots in the clerk's office or designated location.
AUGUST 3, 2024 First day for municipal or county clerk to conduct public test of electronic voting equipment. Check your municipalities website for specific date and time.
AUGUST 8, 2024 Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for regular and overseas electors to request absentee ballots by mail (online, email or fax) for Partisan Primary.
AUGUST 9, 2024 Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for electors to register to vote in the municipal clerk's office or other designated location(s).
AUGUST 9, 2024 Last day for voters to vote in person absentee in the clerk's office. The Final day is set by the municipality, but this deadline may not exceed August 11, 2024.
AUGUST 13, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary and Spring Election. Deadline (8:00 PM) for absentee ballots to be delivered to the polling location.
AUGUST 19, 2024 County Board of Canvass Meeting (9:00 AM) to certify the August Primary Results. Meeting will be posted on the county website.
