Huber Release, Child Care, and Programing/Counseling

In order to be considered for Huber Release Privileges while serving a sentence in the Lincoln County Jail you must be granted Huber by your sentencing Judge, this will appear on your JOC. The Lincoln County Sheriff will make the final decision whether an inmate is appropriate for Huber Release.

  • You must be currently employed within 60 miles of the Lincoln County Jail.
  • You must have a “Huber Work Release Agreement”  filled out by your employer.
  • Your employer must meet all requirements listed in the “Lincoln County Jail Huber Rules".

Lincoln County Jail will not let inmates sentenced with Huber out of the jail for Job Search or Community Service.

All inmates who are Self - Employed must carry a $1,000,000.00 workman’s compensation policy and present the previous 2 years of the business’ tax records to be considered for Huber Privileges. All Self – Employed Huber inmates will be required to fill out a Daily Itinerary containing all locations and the times they will be at that location daily before being allowed out for work. Any changes in that itinerary must be approved by Correctional Staff.

Huber Inmates will be charged $105.00 per week for Huber fees. If a Huber inmate falls behind on his Huber payments they may be prohibited from going out to work.  A sack meal will be available for the inmate daily for them to take to work. They will not be allowed to leave their place of Employment for their Lunch Break. 

Child Care

Child Care privileges may be granted to those eligible for Huber Release if it is determined by the Jail Administrator or his designees to be a legitimate need.  The Sheriff will make final decisions on Child Care Privileges. 

In order to be considered for childcare:

  • You must be sentenced to Huber.
  • Childcare must be within Lincoln County.
  • The offender must be a legal parent or step parent of the child / children.
  • The offender will have to provide proof that there will be no persons in the home other than the child / children and themselves due to the other family members' employment. In order to do so the offender must fill out a Request for Childcare. That request must be accompanied by copies of schedules for any adults living in the home. Those schedules must be on company letterhead and signed by the employer. 
  • If the child /children are enrolled in school or other activates the offender will not be allowed out during the times the children are attending those.

Correctional supervisors will verify all information submitted before a determination will be made as to if the request will be approved.  All Huber Work Rules will apply to Childcare also.

There will be a $35.00 onetime fee for Childcare.

Programing / Counseling

In order to be considered for Programing / Counseling outside the jail the offender must be granted Huber privileges and the programing / counseling must be ordered by the sentencing judge on the offenders JOC. The offender must also provide proof that they are actively enrolled in the programing / counseling they wish to continue during their sentence. The offender will have to fill out a Program Request Form and Lincoln County Jail nursing staff will verify all appointment dates and times. The request will then be submitted to jail supervisory staff for approval.
