The purpose of the Lincoln County Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is to:
- Facilitate the protection of lives, property and the environment in emergency/disasters of any nature.
- Coordinate response to emergency/disasters, assess damages, and identify mitigation opportunities and implement recovery efforts.
- Describe the county’s relationship in support of local units of governments during response and recovery.
- Serve as a coordinating document for supporting Incident Action Plans (IAP).
- Provide guidance for government officials, involved organizations during an emergency/disaster situation.
- Provide a link between the state, municipal, private and volunteer organizational plans.
- Conform to the provisions of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Response Plan (NRP) to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
