Language Assistance Program

The Wisconsin Director of State Courts has developed a statewide plan to ensure access to court services for persons with limited English proficiency and deaf and hard of hearing persons. It is designed to respond to Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, and to the requirements imposed by Executive Order 13166 and related guidance as they apply to recipients of federal funds. The plan is to provide a framework for timely and effective language assistance for court users in Wisconsin.
